Domestic HRC quotations in Turkey remain stable during past month

During the past week, demand for Turkish producers' hot rolled coil (HRC) products in their domestic market has remained sluggish. Market sources state that buyers are still making HRC purchases only in line with their needs, avoiding restocking activities, with the result that trading activities are proceeding at a slow pace. Although demand has been at low levels, Turkish HRC producers have kept their domestic offer prices unchanged month on month at $400-430/mt ex-works.
 
Similar to the demand for Turkish producers' HRC products, demand in the local Turkish HRC spot market has also remained at low levels during the past week, with traders keeping their HRC offers stable.
 
The domestic sales prices of traders for local and imported hot rolled flat steel products in the Eregli and Gebze regions of Turkey are as follows:
