Demand for Turkish PPGI strengthens further on export side

Demand in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market has remained on the weak side since last week, while prices have showed no changes.

Turkish mills' local offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $1,020-1,080/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $880-930/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $800-850/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

In the meantime, demand for Turkish PPGI exports has strengthened further. Due to the increases in PPGI prices in the target markets amid higher HDG prices, demand for Turkish PPGI products has continued to increase. Ex-Turkey PPGI offers, meanwhile, have remained stable since last week at $865-925/mt FOB, for July production.
