According to market sources, demand for Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil in both the local market and in the export market has increased over the past week due to falling HDG prices but still remains weak. Market sources state that demand is expected to rise in the coming week due to the decline in HDG prices.

In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices have decreased by $10/mt over the past week and are currently as follows:

Product

Price ($/mt)

HDG   0.50 mm  100gr/m²

770-790

HDG   1 mm  100gr/m²

720-740

HDG   2 mm  100gr/m²

705-710

The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.

On the other hand, ex-Turkey HDG offers have declined by $20/mt during the past week to $750-760/mt FOB for November production.
