CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated today at $1,100/mt, stable from two weeks ago, CFR conditions, a trader in the Northeastern region of Brazil told SteelOrbis.

In September, Brazil exported 2,500 mt of CRC, in average at $910/mt, while importing 21,000 mt of the product at $816/mt, both FOB conditions.

With the return to pre-pandemic levels of production, the Brazilian exports of CRC are expected to increase over the next few months, while imports of the product are forecasted to decline.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,900/mt ($1,224/mt), against BRL 7,100/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.

USD = BRL 5.64 (October 29)
