During the week ending August 8, average export offer prices of flat steel from China have moved on a downward trend. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $490-500/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $540-550/mt FOB.
Flat steel product export prices from China have softened amid weakening support iron ore prices which have been moving on a declining trend. It is expected that flat steel product export prices from China will move sideways in the coming week.
