Chinese flat steel export offer prices have softened slightly for some products over the past week, namely for hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil (CRC), while prices of other products have moved up. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm HRC given by Chinese suppliers are at $425-435/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm CRC given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $460-470/mt FOB.

During the given week, export offer prices for flat steel from China have been influenced by previous fluctuations seen in domestic flat steel prices, with both increases and decreases seen in export offers. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will indicate minor fluctuations in the coming week.
