During the week ending on April 20, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, domestic PPGI prices have moved on a stable trend. Transaction activity has been better than in the previous month, though PPGI consumption from downstream users still lacks stability and transaction activity is lower than the same period last year. Inventory levels have declined due to better demand, while traders are unwilling to replenish stocks as they seek to avoid potential risks. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will move sideways in the coming week.
