During the week ending November 10, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have increased. Transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices in China have risen compared to the previous week, exerting a positive impact on PPGI prices and contributing to improved sentiment in the PPGI market. Approaching to the winter season, production cuts will affect the PPGI market, though demand for PPGI is expected to slacken at the same time. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways in the coming week.
