Ferrous metal futures prices in China have softened, especially in the latter part of the given week, dragging down steel plate prices and depressing market sentiment. With the National Day Holiday (October 1-8) approaching, traders in the domestic steel plate market have been willing to sell at lower prices in order to bring in cash. It is thought that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely continue their decreasing trend in the coming week.
