During the week ending September 21, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, PPGI prices have moved on a stable trend. Meanwhile, though in the traditional peak season of September, the demand has not recovered to what market participants expected. At the same time, ferrous metal futures prices have moved on a fluctuating trend, affecting PPGI market. As it is approaching to the holidays of Mid-Autumn Day and National Day, the demand will be slack. It is expected that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways in the coming week.
