Chinese domestic PPGI prices move sideways

Friday, 23 February 2018 12:19:34 (GMT+3)   |   Shanghai

During the week ending February 23, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.

During the given week, most market participants have not yet resumed business after the Chinese New Year holiday, and this has contributed to the stable trend of PPGI prices and to weak transaction activity. Trading activities will likely resume late next week. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will continue their stable trend in the coming week.
