During the week ending July 13, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have risen very slightly, while transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, ferrous metal futures prices in China have moved up, exerting a positive impact on PPGI prices. However, demand has been slack due to the hot and rainy weather conditions and the influence of Typhoon Maria. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move on a stable trend in the coming week.
