During the week ending November 24, average prices of pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) in the Chinese domestic market have softened by a very slight margin. Transaction activity in the domestic market has been at low-to-medium levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, demand for PPGI from downstream users has been slack due to strict environmental protection measures, exerting a negative influence on PPGI prices in the spot market. Approaching the end of the year, some traders are more willing to sell at lower prices to bring in cash. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely edge down slightly in the coming week.
