Cautious sentiment in local Turkish CRC market

Over the past week, following the uptrend of hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the local Turkish market, Turkish producers have raised their cold rolled coil (CRC) offers by a slight margin of $5/mt to $620-630/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, Turkish buyers are still concluding deals for producers’ CRC products only in line with their needs due to the ongoing fluctuations of the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate.

Meanwhile, buyers in the Turkish CRC spot market are still cautious about making new bookings due to the ongoing economic and political uncertainties in the country. Due to the weakness of demand, traders have not been able to increase their prices despite the rises in producers’ CRC quotations.

Currently, traders’ CRC prices in the local Turkish spot market are as follows:

630-640
