Buyers in local Turkish CRC market continue purchases in line with needs

Demand in the local Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has remained at low levels during the past week. It is observed that Turkish buyers have continued to conclude purchases only in line with their needs, while they seek to avoid increasing their inventory levels. Market sources do not expect a revival in domestic CRC demand, stating that the negative economic outlook in Turkey has weakened demand. Under the current circumstances, Turkish mills have kept their domestic CRC prices unchanged over the past week at $560-580/mt ex-works.

In the spot market, prices of domestic CRC sold by local traders have also moved sideways week on week and are at the following levels:

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for January delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
