A source from a Brazilian exporter told SteelOrbis that his last sale of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) was still closed FOB at $700/mt, the same price level in the last five weeks, adding that the next sales should be closed at higher price, as prices for the product are increasing in international markets.

He mentioned that the rate of the increase is still to be decided, adding that the volume exported in November was higher than the volume of October, when Brazil exported 34,700 mt of HDG, 32.4 percent less than in September.

During October, CSN exported HDG at $627/mt, Usiminas at $751/mt and ArcelorMittal at $687/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in August.
