The reference price for Brazilian hot dipped galvanized (HDG) exports remains at $700/mt, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference, continuing a long-term stable trend.

In June, Brazil exported 63,300 mt of HDG, while importing 27,300 mt of the product. Preliminary indications point to a reduction in July from the volume of HDG exported in June.

The last offer of HDG received from China was priced at $679/mt, little changed from $680/mt two weeks ago, CFR conditions for a port in the South or Southeastern coast of Brazil, with reference to the Z100/SGCC grade.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers at BRL 3,692/mt ($703/mt), against BRL 3,851/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.

USD = BRL 5.25 (July 21)
