Both demand and supply on low side in local Chinese PPGI market

During the week ending July 26, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) prices have mostly risen by a slight margin in the Chinese domestic market, though some prices have also moved sideways. Average PPGI prices in the Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

Recently, PPGI product shipments from Chinese mills have not been so plentiful. A lack of certain sizes is observed, while traders' inventories are now relatively low. However, during the summer period, downstream industries have not been very active in concluding purchases, while the overall transaction volume in the market is low. As for the coming period, it is expected that Chinese domestic PPGI prices will just indicate slight fluctuations.
