Baosteel raises local HRC prices by $61/mt for January

Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in January next year.

The producer has decided to raise its local base prices for hot rolled coil (HRC) by RMB 400/mt ($61/mt), while increasing its local base prices for steel plate, section steel and grain-oriented electrical steel by RMB 300/mt ($46/mt). It has also raised its local prices for hot rolled pickled products, galvalume and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) by RMB 400/mt ($61/mt), increased its local base prices for cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dip galvanized (HDG) and electro-galvanized products by RMB 500/mt ($76/mt) and raised its local base prices for non-grain-oriented electrical steel by RMB 800/mt ($122/mt), for January, SteelOrbis has learned. In particular, the increases for PPGI and galvalume are for the January-February period of 2021.
