Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in November. The details are as follows (comparisons are with October delivery prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC):
Prices of products from Baosteel’s main steel production base have remained unchanged. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 19.
Hot rolled products for the automotive sector from Baosteel’s Shanghai-based subsidiary Meishan Steel have also remained stable. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 26.
2. Hot rolled pickled products:
Prices of hot rolled pickled products from Baosteel’s main steel base and Meishan Steel have remained stable. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 20.
3. Cold rolled (CR) products:
Common quality CRC prices from Baosteel’s main steel base and Meishan Steel have remained stable. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 19.
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG):
Prices of common quality hot dip galvanized products from the main steel base and Meishan Steel have remained stable. A discounts of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 20.
5. Electro-galvanized (EG) products:
Prices of electro-galvanized (EG) products from the main steel base and Meishan Steel have remained stable. For orders placed on or before October 15, a discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available on prices of common quality (CQ) electro-galvanized products, while a discount of RMB 60/mt ($9/mt) is available on prices of other EG products.
6. Galvalume:
Prices of galvalume products from Baosteel’s main base and Meishan Steel have remained unchanged. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 23.
7. Non-grain-oriented electrical steel prices:
Prices of non-grain-oriented electrical steel prices have remained unchanged. A discount of RMB 100/mt ($16/mt) is available for orders placed on or before October 16.
8. Grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel prices:
Prices of GO products have remained stable.
All the above price changes are effective immediately and exclude 17 percent VAT.
