Following the price announcement made by Chinese steelmaker Taiyuan Iron and Steel (TISCO), another Chinese mill Baosteel has adjusted its export stainless steel list prices for May shipments. Accordingly, the producer has kept its ferritic prices stable as compared to price levels for April deliveries, while it has revised its austenitic material prices upward by $50/mt against the backdrop of increases in nickel prices. Meanwhile, sources also report that the mill may give certain discounts on its list prices.
