ArcelorMittal USA announces flat rolled price increase

On late-Friday afternoon, ArcelorMittal USA (AMUSA) announced new, minimum base pricing for hot rolled, cold rolled and hot dipped galvanized steel.  In a letter sent to customers, the mill notes that the new price points “are applicable to all new spot orders and recent quotations that have not been accepted.  We reserve the right to revise any outstanding quotations.”

The mill also added comments about their order book availability.

“The HR order book is closed for October at all Northern mills with November opening forthcoming.  AM/NS Calvert remains open for October based on slab availability.  Tandem Products is now accepting orders for November at all facilities.”

AMUSA's new minimum base prices for HRC, CRC and HDG coil are as follows:

 

HRC: $27.50 cwt. ($606/mt or $550/nt)

CRC: $36.50 cwt. ($805/mt or $730/nt)

HDG: $36.50 cwt. ($805/mt or $730/nt)
