AMUSA announces flat rolled steel price increase

ArcelorMittal USA today announced new, minimum base pricing for flat rolled steel products. According to a letter sent to customers, effective immediately, minimum prices for Flat Rolled Products from AMUSA are:

HRC: $32.50 cwt. ($717/mt or $650/nt)
CRC: $42.50 cwt. ($937/mt or $850/nt)
Coated steel: $42.50 cwt. ($937/mt or $850/nt)

The letter further states that the new prices “are applicable to all new spot orders and recent quotations that have not yet been accepted by ArcelorMittal or AM/NS Calvert entities. We reserve the right to modify any outstanding quotations.”
