A Mexican source told SteelOrbis that AHMSA has announced it intends to increase both HRC and CRC export prices by $10/mt.

A trader based in Mexico City said AHMSA could increase CRC export prices by $10/mt to $460/mt FOB Mexican Gulf, from current prices of $450/mt, same conditions.

As for HRC, export prices could reach $380/mt FOB Mexican Gulf in case the announced hike takes place.

Despite the export price increase in flats being intended for Asian destinations, AHMSA’s better opportunities for flats exports are the US and Canada, according to traders.
