US trade gap with Canada surpasses $50 billion

The US trade deficit with Canada surpassed $50 billion this year, according to the US Commerce Department. The US trade gap with Canada, country's largest trading partner, was recorded as $54.9 billion by the end of October. US companies shipped $158 billion goods to Canada in the first ten months of the year while imports from Canadian firms reached $212.4 billion in the mentioned period. The country's largest 10-month trade deficit recorded with China as $131.1 billion. The trade gap with Japan was recorded as $61.1 billion, Mexico $37.8 billion and Germany $37.4 billion.
