Russian ferrous metal output up in H1
The Federal State Statistics Service data marks that Russia's ferrous metal production rose by 5.5% from a year earlier in the first six months of the year. Steel pipe output reached 3.1 million tons in the mentioned period, up by 7.6% compared to the same period of last year. However, the production of subject product was recorded a 1.5% drop in June. In January-June 2004 period, iron ore production increased by 3.2% to 47 million tons while a 1.8% rise is observed in June production.
