Average annual inflation 1.9% in EU
The average annual inflation in the 15 member states of the European Union (EU) is recorded as 1.9% of end September 2003. Moreover, Euro zone annual inflation rate was 2.1%. According to figures released by the EU statistic agency Eurostat, member states annual inflation rates are; Germany 1.1%, Finland 1.2%, Australia 1.3%, UK 1.4%, Belgium and Denmark 1.7%, France and Sweden 2.3%, Holland 2.1%, Luxembourg 2.7%, Italy and Spain 3%, Portugal 3.2%, Greece 3.3% and Ireland 3.8%. Eurostat published inflation rates for September on country basis as follows; Australia 0.2%, Germany (0.2%), Finland 0.5%, UK 0.3%, Denmark 0.8%, Belgium 0.2%, France 0.5%, Holland 0%, Sweden 0.8%, Luxembourg 0.7%, Italy 0.8%, Portugal 0.2%, Spain 0.2%, Greece 0% and Ireland 0.2%.Average annual inflation 1.9% in EU
