The second of the Turkish Steel Market Conferences organized by SteelOrbis was this year held on June 1 at the Ceylan InterContinental Hotel in Istanbul.
Due to the important place which Turkey holds in the global steel industry both in terms of production and consumption, there has been a remarkable surge in interest in the Turkish Steel Market Conference, which was held for the first time last year.
The number of participants at the conference, which was approximately 300 representatives from a total of ten countries at the inaugural conference in 2006, has increased tremendously and even exceeded expectations. This year, all the major industry organizations and companies were present at the conference, comprising over five hundred participants from twenty countries.
The conference included interesting presentations regarding the developments in the Turkish steel industry and also concerning the future prospects for the industry, as well as a panel discussion where the latest developments in the steel industry were analyzed.
