In the first 11 months of this year, Zlatoust Metallurgical Works (ZMZ), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding, increased its steel smelting output by 35 percent to 154,300 mt, doubled its commercial grade rolled steel product output to 361,700 mt, and tripled its steel product shipments to 348,700 mt, all compared to the same period last year.

In November, ZMZ smelted 7,600 mt of steel and produced more than 36,100 mt of commercial grade rolled steel products. ZMZ's November shipments of steel products amounted to 38,000 mt, including about 400 mt of calibrated steel and more than 1,500 mt of steel products with special surface finish.

In December 2010, ZMZ plans to smelt at least 7,500 mt of steel, to produce 37,000 mt of commercial grade rolled steel products, and to ship at least 39,000 mt of products, which will allow the plant to come closer to its planned targets for 2010, achieving sales of 360,000-400,000 mt of commercial grade steel products.
