Zaporizhstal sees one percent rise in January-November crude steel output

In January-November this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 1.2 percent to 2.55 million mt, while its crude steel production rose by one percent to 3.05 million mt, both compared to January-November 2009.

In addition, in the first 11 months of this year, the plant saw a 0.2 percent year-on-year drop in its pig iron output to about 2.51 million mt, but a 0.3 percent year-on-year increase in its agglomerate production to 4.42 million mt.

In November, Zaporizhstal produced 254,000 mt of finished steel products - up 0.8 percent, 309,000 mt of crude steel - down 2.2 percent, 239,000 mt of pig iron - down 1.2 percent, and 419,000 mt of agglomerate - up one percent, all compared to October this year.
