Xinyu Steel posts record iron ore pellet output for 2011

According to Jiangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xinyu Iron and Steel Group (Xinyu Steel), its iron ore pellet output in 2011 totaled 1.2736 million mt, exceeding the record volume of 1.2175 million mt achieved in 2010.
 
Meanwhile, Xinyu Steel continued to eliminate backward production capacity during the year in question, dismantling three sintering machines. The iron ore sinter output of Xinyu Steel in 2011 totaled 12.69 million mt.
