Xinxing to invest in India

Major Chinese ductile iron pipe maker Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes is, reportedly, planning to set up a plant in Chhattisgarh, India with approximately $220 million investment. Xinxing, currently sells 30'000 mt ductile iron pipes to India per year. The company aims at increasing its sales to India with the plant to be built there. Ductile iron pipes are used for drilling, microtunneling and sewage systems. Current production capacity of Xinxing is 800'000 mt per annum. The company consumes around five million mt iron ore per annum. Chhattisgarh receives investment from various iron and steel makers thanks to its wide iron ore deposits.
