Xintai Steel reports steady progress in H-beam project

Shanxi-based Jiexiu Xintai Iron & Steel Co. has announced steady progress in the construction of its large-scale H-beam project, being built on the back of an investment of RMB 1.304 billion ($190 million), which will have an annual capacity of 1.2 million mt.

The new H-beam production line, which is expected to rank fourth in China, will be the first production line in China to produce hot rolled H-beams and large-sized beams with steel web heights in the range of 200-1,200 mm.
