Xinhua-China Iron Ore Price Index up slightly

According to the Xinhua-China Iron Ore Price Index issued by China's state-owned Xinhua News Agency, on June 4 the price index for 63.5 percent Fe content imported iron ore in China stood at 137 points, up one point week on week, while the price index for 58 percent Fe content imported iron ore stood at 116 points, also up one point week on week.

As of June 4, iron ore inventory at Chinese ports totaled 96.62 million mt, down 620,000 mt or 0.64 percent on week-on-week basis.
