Xinhua-China Iron Ore Price Index trends upward

According to the Xinhua-China Iron Ore Price Index issued by China's state-owned Xinhua News Agency, on September 17 the price index for 63.5 percent Fe content imported iron ore in China stood at 109 points, up 15 points week on week, while the price index for 58 percent Fe content imported iron ore was at 89 points, up 14 points week on week.
 
As of September 17, inventory of iron ore at Chinese ports totaled 101.51 million mt, down 370,000 mt on week-on-week basis.
