Xingcheng Steel produces 1,000 mm round billet

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiangyin Xingcheng Special Steel (Xingcheng Steel) has announced that it has successfully developed production of 1,000 mm diameter round billet, the largest round billet size produced in the world, breaking its own previous world record of 900 mm for round billet diameter.

In May 2009 Xingcheng Steel produced round billet of 800 mm diameter, while in October 2010 the company successfully produced round billet of 900 mm diameter.
