Fujian Province-based Chinese steel company Xigang Steel Co. has announced that it has commissioned production operations at its new pickling line and eight-high five-stand continuous cold rolling line, which have respective annual production capacities of 650,000 mt and 500,000 mt.
The new production lines in question are part of the color coated sheet project of Xigang Steel which was launched in 2006 for a designed annual production capacity of 1 million mt of premium galvanized steel sheet, with a total investment cost of RMB 1.57 billion ($248 million).
