Xiangtan Steel constructs five-meter wide heavy plate production line

On November 6, Central China's Hunan Province-based Xiangtan Iron and Steel company formally commenced construction of its five-meter wide heavy plate project, which is to cost a total investment of RMB 10 billion ($1.46 billion).

The new project, which is the biggest one so far undertaken by Xiangtan Steel, targets an annual production capacity of 3 million mt. Upon completion, the new production is expected to include all grades and specifications.
