Wire Plant-1 of BMZ produces 1.5 millionth metric ton of hardware products

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has stated that at the end of August its Wire Plant-1 produced its one millionth metric ton of hardward products.

It took 27 years to reach this 1.5 million mt output result. In 1987, after the commissioning of the second stage of BMZ,  the new Wire Plant-1 focused on production of 25,000 mt of steel cord and 10,000 mt of bead wire per year. In recent years, output at Wire Plant-1 has increased due to reconstruction and modernization activities, with its range of steel cord products enlarged.
