Visakhapatnam increased sales up to Rupees 35 billion
Indian state owned longs producer Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), operated by Rashtria Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL), has reportedly reached a record sales of Rupees 35.41 billion ($779 million) during April-November 2003 period with an increase of 28% over same period last year. Sales result for the month of November is the highest figure company has ever achieved at Rupees 5.35 billion ($117.7 million), up 37% over November 2002. As for production in April-November 2003 period, the company produced 2.72 million tons of hot metal, 2.30 million tons of liquid steel and 2.05 million tons of saleable steel, consequently increased all capacity utilization rates for three products over 110%.Visakhapatnam increased sales up to Rupees 35 billion
