In September, Vietnam’s steel imports amounted to 1,404,678 mt, up 9.1 percent compared to August, while its scrap imports decreased by 2.4 percent month on month to 302,974 mt, according to the data published by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
In the first nine months of the year, Vietnam’s steel imports increased by 4.4 percent year on year to 9,33 million mt, while its scrap import shipments amounted to 3,17 million mt in the given period, decreasing by 7.0 percent year on year.
