In October, Vietnam’s steel imports amounted to 1,279,166 mt, down 8.9 percent compared to September, while its scrap imports increased by 2.9 percent month on month to 311,842 mt, according to the data published by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
In the first ten months of the year, Vietnam’s steel imports increased by 8.6 percent year on year to 10.6 million mt, while its scrap import shipments amounted to 3.48 million mt in the given period, decreasing by 6.1 percent year on year.
