Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel has so far in February successfully produced more than 0.3 million mt of 4 mm heat-treated hot rolled plate - the thinnest specification of heat-treated hot rolled steel plate produced in China. The technical indicators of the product in question, including yield strength, tensile strength and elongation rate, are all in line with requirements.
In September 2009, Valin Lianyuan Iron and Steel commenced production at its 2,250 mm hot rolled production line. Later in 2009, it signed a contract to set up a heat-treating production line for thin plates.
