Commissioning of Fuxin Special Steel to start at end of Sept

Taiwan-based Formosa Plastic Group has announced that commissioning work on its Fuxin Special Steel project in China's Fujian Province will start at the end of September this year, three months earlier than originally scheduled.
 
Construction work on the project began in April 2010. $2.2 billion has been invested in the project, compared with the original planned investment of $1.8 billion. The main products will be hot rolled and cold rolled stainless steel plates and coils with an overall annual output capacity of 1.8 million mt.
