Brazilian slab producer Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem, a joint venture (JV) between Vale, Posco and Dongkuk Steel, was awarded a certification from Siemens Gamesa, local media Diario do Nordeste said this week.
The media report said CSP may now supply flat steel products to the Siemens group companies. Neither CSP nor Siemens disclosed further details about the certification, but a CSP executive said the achievement will help the Vale co-owned slab producer achieve more credibility worldwide.
