Vale's iron ore exports up 8.25 percent in January-November

In November this year, Brazilian miner Vale's iron ore export volume totaled 26.63 million mt, up 7.3 percent compared to November 2015 and falling by 4.15 percent compared to October, according to Brazil's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase). In the first 11 months of the current year, Vale's iron ore exports increased by 8.25 percent year on year to 286.6 million metric tons. 
 
Meanwhile, in November this year Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market amounted to 1.2 million mt, increasing by 22 percent year on year and up by 15.4 percent month on month. In the January-November period of this year, Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market totaled 13 million mt, rising by 12.8 percent as compared with the same period last year.
