Vale's iron ore exports up 13.7 percent in H1

In June this year, Brazilian miner Vale's iron ore export volume totaled 24 million mt, increasing by 6.36 percent year on year, according to Brazil's National Union of the Industry of Extraction of Iron and Base Metals (Sinferbase). In the first half of the current year, Vale's iron ore exports increased by 13.67 percent year on year to 130.89 million metric tons.
 
Meanwhile, in June this year Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market amounted to 1.23 million mt, increasing by 5.57 percent year on year. In the first half this year, Vale's iron ore sales in its domestic market totaled 7.4 million mt, unchanged as compared with the same period of last year.
