Vale’s co-owned CSP to ship first slab order in mid-August

Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP)—a JV co-owned by Vale, Dongkuk and Posco—is expected to ship its first slab order in mid-August.

A media report said CSP’s first order is a shipment totaling 20,000 mt of slab, which will be delivered to Dongkuk customers in Turkey and Italy. So far, CSP has produced 68,000 mt of slab, and the balance is expected to supply Posco.

CSP also plans to export slab to Europe, Asia, Africa, and the US in the future.
