USTR proposes 82 more products be excluded

The possibility of the US to announce more product exemptions until July 19, 2002 is being pronounced in the industry. July 19 is the deadline of the EU Commission to present a report to the Council regarding latest status of negotiations with the US in order to determine whether to impose retaliatory tariffs to US goods. US Trade Representative Office announced 82 more proposed product exclusions today. 77 products stand for Arcelor in this 5th group. Other companies included in the list are Berlin Metals, Knape & Vogt and Grasche USA. Objectors are allowed submit their comments until July 31, 2002.
