Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas is expected to increase both HRC and CRC prices, according to a media report by Valor. The steelmaker declined on Monday to comment the matter.

The media report said Usiminas would rise HRC and CRC by 10.6 percent, effectively on June 1st for both the industrial segment and the distribution chain. The media report added ArcelorMittal Brazil will rise zinced and finished steel prices by 12 percent also in June. The Usiminas’ expected price hike follows a CSN announcement to increase HRC and CRC prices by 8 percent, as anticipated by SteelOrbis last week.
